CUDDLE PARTIES
This is like, almost the opposite of being Shomer Negiah. Of course, A Picture of C, always ahead of the trend, wrote about this a long time ago. Sounds like it's alternately a good and a bad idea. Thoughts?
I went to two parties. The first I encountered the now-famed Hottest Man I Have Ever Met in My Whole Life. The second, I was too nervous & creeped and left after the "welcome circle," didn't stay to cuddle.
I do see that there is a need for more touch between people, but I think, for me, I prefer to get the touch from people I know and care about, instead of strangers. Since the Cuddle Party, I've gotten better about asking for hugs from friends when I want/need one, and everyone always gladly complies (including a certain fiery-haired blogger).
A friend of mine told me about this the other day...it sounds creepy. I don't want some gross, smelly person cuddling with me. I'll wait until I have a new bf to cuddle. What will they think of next?
