Singles Writer Proposes in Column
I don't know what to think about this.
Seth Menachem, at the end of his singles column about commitment and finding the right girl, proposed to his girlfriend Carrie.
The hopeless romantic in me is weeping tears of joy for the happy couple.
And the cynical single in me is calling the whole thing too cheesy for words.
To sum up, this proposal is either:
a) the sweetest thing ever
b) vomitatious
Of course, wishing the happy couple all the best.

My guess is, he proposed in private first, so he wouldn't have to worry about public rejection.
But then, I'm a cynic.
I'm Seth's brother.
Andrea is correct.
I tend to go with option b, since i think these things should be done in private. It's a nightmare of mine to have to do such important decision making in public. But then again i have a personal blog - so i guess i'm being a bit of a hypocrite.
Andrew, just so we're clear, your brother's hotness was never in question.
;)
What a friggin' hoot is he uses a Jewish newspaper to propose to his shiksa girlfriend...
I would have to go with b) just cause.. you don't havethe Lukie bastard option..
If you read his other columns you'd see that his girlfriend IS Jewish--her dad's not but her mom is.
It's good to have an example of a man who is not afraid to articulate his strong feelings for a woman, and his reasons for wanting to make a commitment to her. So while it may appear cheesy, the bottom line is that this is man who is NOT committment-pbohic. However, he IS an exhibitionist. He's also an actor? Oh, that explains it.
